I love the simple warm tiles in the Aroma Kitchen Range. Handmade in Devon, the tiles feature an outline serif font for a modern sophisticated style. Basil, Mint, Bay, Thyme, Sage & Spice are all written out in a lovely sepia on off-white tiles. Perfect for creating a focal display or simply accenting your kitchen tiles, the Wichester Aroma Kitchen Tiles add flavour to your kitchen design. It's been long while since I made a big batch of soups or houmous, so I can't believe I never wrote about the Prestige SmartPlus Pressure Cooker. Using a pressure cooker makes it much quicker and easier to use dried beans in your daily cooking. Cooking times are dramatically reduced, which saves you both time in the kitchen and uses less energy. The Prestige SmartPlus Pressure Cooker was redesigned a few years ago to create a modern appliance that feels safe and easy to use. The only draw back is that the Prestige SmartPlus line offers 8lbs or 12lbs of pressure, rather than the standard 10lbs to 15lbs. This means that pressure cooker recipes may need a longer cooking time than usual. Dishwasher safe and simple to maintain, Prestige spare parts are usually easy to find. A great entry level product, the Prestige Pressure Cooker is available in both a 5 Litre Aluminium and a 6 Litre Steel design.
Prestige 5Lt SmartPlus Aluminium Pressure Cooker -£32
Prestige 6Lt SmartPlus Steel Pressure Cooker -£40

A new creation by designer Chris Koens, the Bunny Dishrack transforms an everyday item into a magical kitchen sculpture. At first glance, the Bunny Dishrack appears to be a normal kitchen drainer, but closer inspection reveals a charming surprise. The plastic coated wires form the layered profile of an adorable bunny rabbit. Both practical and engaging, the Bunny Dishrack can bring a sparkle to kitchen counters. Available online from the Victoria & Albert Museum Shop, the Bunny Dishrack makes washing up fun for just £18.00.

So ingenious, you'll wonder why no one invented the Sleek Jar Spoon sooner...but it turns out they did. The Sleek Jar Spoon was originally designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1962 as a promotional item for Kraft, but it took another thirty-four years before Alessi added the handy utensil to its collection in 1996. Designed to get even the last scrapings of jam, mayo or peanut butter, the Sleek Jar Spoon has both a handy curved side and straight edge so you can reach into every corner. A great design at an affordable price, the Alessi Sleek Jar Spoon is £4.00 from UtilityDesign or £3.50 from Amazon.co.uk.

When so much effort is put into the design of beautiful tableware, it begins to boarder on art. The Mango embraces this concept and creates a eye-catching display of these functional items. The Mango Set includes eight places settings which then hang from a modern bamboo frame, giving them a sense of movement. A brilliant way to keep cutlery organised and within reach, the knives, forks, dessert spoons and teaspoons each hang from their own metal hook. Transforming simple tableware into a sculptural decoration, the Mango Cutlery Set & Stand is £155 from John Lewis.

Granted this isn't a new product, but as I don't often wander through the infant section I'd missed this fabulous gadget. While making your own baby food is simple, making such small portions can be tricky. The Beaba Babycook and Blender steams, blends, defrosts and reheats in a single compact unit. Perfect for making fresh food daily, the Babycook is simple to use and easy to clean. Straight forward and intuitive, you simply fill the bottom basin with water and steam your fruits vegetables and/or meat for 10-15 minutes. When finished you lift out the steaming basket and add the vegetables to the reserved cooking water and blend into a lovely smooth purée. Designed to also reheat pre-made made meals, the Babycook is the only appliance you'll need. A great way to make home-made meals that preserve vitamins and can be organic, the Beaba Babycook and Blender even saves on the washing up.
