I love pizza wheels! They are so useful, I use them for cutting Brownies and Rice Krispie Squares too! Only problem is no matter how careful I am, my non-stick trays are getting scratched. Oxo have solved this with their new Good Grips Pizza Wheel. The Wheel features a plastic 10cm circular blade that cuts easy through even thick crusts and cheese yet won’t damage those delicate non-stick coatings. The cheese is even less likely to stick to its slick surface too! The clear plastic wheel reveals the pizza on the other side, creating an unexpected and intriguing effect. Finally the thumb guard and soft grip handle make the Good Grips Pizza Wheel even safer to use. A clever investment from Lakeland, the Oxo Good Grips Pizza Wheel is £5.67

While I’ve seen combined oil and vinegar bottles before, they are usually complex glass creations that blend two bottles into one. In the Salad Sunrise Oil & Vinegar Set its science that keeps everything separated. It’s simply a fact of physics that oil will float on vinegar. In harnessing this property, designer Arnout Visser has created the Salad Sunrise, a single cylindrical vessel with two spouts. Looking like an exotic laboratory beaker, the Salad Sunrise reveals a magic found in these everyday ingredients. A clever design for modern kitchens, the Salad Sunrise Oil + Vinegar Set is £29.95 from The Design Museum Online Shop.

Easter has finally arrived, and for us that usually means a huge family dinner with all the family. With spring finally in the air and family around, it reminds me just how wonderful things are. I guess that explains my fondness for Emma Bridgewater's 'Truly Great' tea towel and tin tray. I've lived in a few countries, and I think the UK doesn't give itself nearly enough credit. I'm not trying to claim the UK is perfect (look at the cricket team for example), but there is nowhere I'd rather live. So celebrate what we have, with these bold and patriotic patterns. Available online from Emma Bridgewater, the handy tea towel and tray offer optimistism and hope in what looks like an uncertain summer.
