Tired of fruitcakes and Christmas Pudding for your holiday desserts? The Kransekake Pan makes a gorgeous and dramatic centrepiece for your Christmas table. A traditional Scandinavian treat, the Kransekake Pans creates 18 individual rings which are then stacked one upon the other to form the Christmas tree shaped tower. The set includes six non-stick pans which each cook three tasty rings. And there's no need to search the internet for a suitable recipe as the set also comes with an almond-based recipe. An impressive dessert which is fairly easy to create, the Kransekake Pan is £9.99 from Lakeland.

I love Christmas and I'll use any excuse to break out my Emma Bridgewater Tableware. I like to add a touch of holiday cheer to my Black Toast place settings with some special Christmas serving pieces. This year Emma Bridgewater have released the charming Joy pattern. A busy pattern of red and green hearts, it celebrates the Christmas spirit. I've put the special Collector's Club Mince Pie Plate (£19.95) at the top of my Christmas list. But if you're not a Bridgewater Collector's Club Member there are plenty of other options. There are three types of bowl as well as a cake plate and comport. Though my favourite is the Joy Gravy Jug; the repeating words really accent the simple form. A brilliant selection of festive tableware, the Joy Collection is available online from Emma Bridgewater.

I love products that are simple and effective, so I've been desperately waiting to feature the GingerDead Men Cookie Cutter by Fred. In two simple steps you can create these cute and creepy biscuits perfect for any Halloween party. First shape the cookie with the white plastic cutter, before turning the cutter over to stamping the skeleton pattern into your cookie. Then you can decorate them with icing or leave them as they are. A quick and effective choice for your Halloween celebrations, the Gingerdead Men Cookie Cutter is £5.99 from Firebox.

This time of years I really miss the autumn holidays we celebrated back home. Thanksgiving and Halloween both celebrated with vibrant colours and seasonal produce. This 3D Silicone Pumpkin Mould is the perfect choice for the season. The cake is baked as a single container, that also forms a hollowed out centre. Filled with candy, fruit or other flavours, it's a simple way to personalise your creation. The Pumpkin Mould clips together and can be filled though a hole at the top. Versatile enough to be used all year round, the Lekue 3D Silicone Pumpkin Mould is £19.25 from Amazon.

Normally heart-shaped desserts are normally reserved for Valentine's Day, but this gruesome jelly mould is perfect for Halloween. The anatomical jelly heart jiggles and shines in a wonderfully creepy way. And you don't have to stick to the red jellies like strawberry and raspberry; a monstrous lime green would work just as well! A brilliant choice for your next Halloween party, the Heart Shaped Jelly Mould is £9.99 from Firebox.

Know a Star Wars fan with a sweet tooth? They'll love the entertaining chocolates, jellies and ice cubes you can make with these Star Wars silicone moulds. I think my favourite has to be the Han Solo Carbonite Tray, which works brilliantly with chocolate to makes slightly creepy candy bars. However I'm convinced that R2-D2 is everyone's favourite character and a table full of brightly coloured mini-jellies is bound to have your geeks cheering. Each tray has one large mould & four mini moulds, making them just the right size for sweets and ice cubes. The only drawback is that the mould apparently can't take heat, so you can't use it for baking or put it in the dishwasher (I'd even be wary when making jellies!) But otherwise perfect for your next movie-theme party, the Han Solo Silicone Mould and the R2-D2 Mould are both £9.99 from Firebox.

With party season quickly approaching it's a good time to start planning your buffet table. If you find yourself short of dishes, you might want to invest in the Vacu Vin Serve & Stack. Small and compact, they won't take up much space the rest of the year, but when you break out your gladrags you'll have three double bowls for chips and dips, and three small bowls for nibbles. Brilliant for students and those that move a lot, these plastic bowls are durable and practical. I'm only disappointed in the drab gray and white colours, but when filled with delicious snacks hopefully no one will notice. Pefect for when you have mates over, the Vacu Vin Serve & Stack Party Server is £13.03 from Amazon UK.

In one of my mother's old cookbooks there's a recipe for "Stained Glass Windows". You make them by cutting holes in your cookies and filling them with boiled sweets. The sweets melt in the oven to create small coloured panes. Lakeland have found a clever design that takes the idea a step further. The Tree Trinket Cookie Cutters not only make tasty treats, but also gorgious Christmas tree decorations. The set includes four large cookie cutters in classic bauble shapes and four small geometric cutters for making windows. Pretty on their own or with icing decorations, they are great for a variety of baking skills. A brilliant way to stretch your creative muscles, the Tree Trinket Cookie Cutter Set is £9.99 from Lakeland.

Christmas is a time of festive decorations, and there is no reason why you can't bring festive spirit into your kitchen. This year I've found two wreaths that celebrate Christmas with foodie style! The first is Lakeland's Star Anise Wreath, the star-shaped spice is the perfect choice for Christmas. Both sophisticated and rustic, this wreath has a lovely liquorice-like aroma. Hang it with a gorgeous wide ribbon ('Continue Reading' to see photo) and you've a glamorous decoration for both modern and traditional homes. Or if you're looking for something a bit spicier this Christmas you might find a traditional Chilli Wreath from Papilio more appealing. Popular in South America, the preserved red chillies are bound to a coco-hair wreath making it an eco-friendly choice. Both wreaths bring a unique kitchen theme to the Christmas holidays, and offer a charming change to the normal mass-produced wreaths.

There is an English custom often performed at the celebration of weddings and births. After the celebratory toast, the champagne cork is saved and a slit is cut in the bottom. Then a silver coin minted that year is pressed into the cork, creating a good luck charm and keepsake of the life changing moment. Having grown up with these strange charms hidden away in my Mum's jewellery box, they gained a special magic and excitement. So when I saw this charming Champagne Cruet Set, it's no surprise that they capture that same mystery and allure. Elegant and quirky, each silver-plated shaker has the iconic champagne cork shape. Carefully detailed, each shaker is capped with the traditional crinkled top in which is the holes are drilled. A brilliant gift for those special occasions, the unique Champagne Cruet Set will become a memorable keepsake that will be cherished by family for years. Presented in a gift box with a special postcard and mini whisk gift tag, the Champagne Cruet Set is £26 from NotontheHighStreet.com
