Emma Bridgewater is well known for their British made creamware, so it's quite a surprise to see them branching out with this gorgeous new tray. Made in Sweden by Ary, they also offer high environmental credentials in addition to their 50 years of experience. Made from Scandinavian Birch these trays are carved from a single sheet of wood. With a fine grain and no joins, the Polka Dot Tray will last for years. The top of the tray is decorated with rings of pretty polka dots that create a mosaic effect, while the underside reveals the beautiful wood. A large tray at 49cm wide, this statement piece will add fabulous bold colour to your table. A unique addition to any Bridgewater collection, the Wooden Polka Dot Tray is £49.95 from Emma Bridgewater.
Emma Bridgewater glassware is expensive, but it is also gorgeous. I did boggle a moment when I saw the new Bridgewater Glass Honey Pot, but actually it's surprisingly versatile. Perfect for honey, jams and marmalade, the glass reveals the lush rich colours. The weighty glass pot is etched with the familiar Black Toast text reading 'Honey & Marmalade', while the lid has the convenient notch for the serving spoon. A brilliant choice for your cranberry sauce this Christmas, the Glass Honey Pot is £49.95 from Emma Bridgewater.
Lovely Christmas tableware is a bit hard to find this year, but I love this Merry Christmas Turkey Platter by Cath Kidston. With a cute polka dot pattern, the festive red band is a brilliant accent for your main course. The bright red colour adds vibrancy to your delicious vegetables. Finally decorated with a 'Merry Christmas' in a cheerful script it's a brilliant addition to your normal tableware. You can also get matching dinner and dessert plates if you'd like a full set. Fun and festive choice for the holidays, the Merry Christmas Turkey Platter is £30 from Cath Kidston.
You don't have to be in Britain long to learn that tea is a national institution. In times of trouble or stress, many of us turn to this reassuring drink. By combining two of our national institutions, designer Takae Mizutani has created this gorgeous Sugar Bowl and Creamer Set. The 'Tea Rules the World' transforms the iconic lion and unicorn from the British coat of arms into sleek contemporary tableware. The small gold accents add just a touch of glamour to otherwise simple forms. I love the lion's stylised mane, which gives it a bold strong profile. Made in Cornwall, England this earthenware clay Sugar Bowl and Creamer set is available in a white or natural finish. A brilliant addition to your favourite tea set, the Tea Rules the World Sugar Bowl and Creamer Set is £44 from Not on the High Street.
When Handpicked Collection asked us to review one of their brilliant gift ideas, their Photo Tray immediately came to mind. It's always seemed the perfect choice for serving a special breakfast in bed! When it arrived I was completely thrilled, the catalogue photos just don't do this tray justice. The black wooden tray has a gorgeous lacquer finish that complements the glass topped tray. I was impressed to find that the mount effect is actually painted onto the glass top. This means you'll never get dust or crumbs on the mount. It also keeps the photos pressed right up to the glass for a professional finish.
It looks like the glass top has also been sealed around the edge, so spilled tea won't damage your photos. (This does mean you should use a table when placing your photos, I usually frame photos with the glass on my knee, but that places strain on this seal.) My only reservation about the tray is the catches on the back. Like a normal picture frame, the photo tray's back is held in place with 12 rotating pins so the pictures are easy to change, but I worry about how strong they are. It might be better for serving a continental breakfast than a huge full English. Also available in a walnut finish, but that model appears to have some significant differences. (It's at least a bit smaller than the black tray and has arching handles & a removable mount.) A glamorous tray that shows off your favourite photos to their best effect, the Photo Tray is £29.95 from the Handpicked Collection.
I love objects that seem to hold a story, like these hand-carved Salad Servers. The twisting handles remind me of traditional love spoons which are carved from a single piece of wood. These lovely servers are carved from olive wood by a small group of South African women. Olive wood has a gorgeous pattern of contrasting grains and a wonderful texture. A bargain at just £14.95, these rustic Salad Servers are available online from Skandivis.
If you still haven't bought a Chocolate Fondue, it isn't too late. This minimalist design from Habitat, boasts sharp clean lines and contrasting materials. The stripes of the bamboo base add a warm contrast to the gleaming ceramic bowl. Paired with shining metal forks, the Panda Fondue has a simple contemporary style. Just £15 from Habitat, the Panda Chocolate Fondue brings functional elegance to this social dessert.
One of the unexpected bonuses of joining Twitter is the competitions. I don't specifically go looking for them, but every so often an irresistible comp pops up in my timeline. Last week it was @Good_Natured who were promoting their Facebook Caption Competition for an Emma Bridgewater Serving Bowl. I'd been eyeing these up recently in John Lewis and as a big Bridgewater fan how could I resist? I literally cheered when they announced the winner, which earned me a fairly odd look from my husband. Currently Bridgewater is my 'best china' so only comes out when we've got guests coming round. While sometimes we serve a full meal, it's often just an assortment of nibbles. Last Christmas I'd realised we really needed more large bowls for the buffet table. This Polka Dot Serving Bowl is perfect for the occasion. It has a lovely shape and the pretty dots accent the natural colours in your salad, fruit or nibbles. A bit pricey at £44.95 (from Emma Bridgewater) the Polka Dot Serving Bowl is a practical piece you'll use time and time again.
A fruit bowl for the Ikea generation, the Normann Copenhagen Fruity Fruit Basket offers eco-friendly with designer style. Reminiscent of a maths calculation I'd have tackled in high school, this geometric web of wood veneer sweeps up off the table. Designed by Charlotte Arvidsson, the Fruity Bowl comes flat-packed, which reduces packaging and transportation costs. Add to this the minimal materials used, and this product shows yet another approach to eco-friendly design. A dramatic bowl that doesn't cost the earth, the Normann Copenhagen Fruity Fruit Basket is £16 from Royal Design.
One of the joys of holding a duel-citizenship is that you need to visit London every few years. So during my latest flying trip to the embassy, I decided to indulge in the Canadian treats London can offer. First I stopped at The Canadian Shop for a packet of Ketchup Chips, then to the Maple Leaf for a quick drink before popping into CyberCandy for some Reese's Pieces. So I figure I may as well continue the Canadian theme with the gorgeous Eva Solo Maple Leaf Bowl. Made from highly-polished stainless steel, the reflective surface is juxtaposed with the natural leaf shape. They remind me of autumn leaves which have gently fallen into a still stream. A beautiful decorative dish, the Eva Solo collection also includes a Medium Oak Bowl and a Small Poplar Bowl perfect for nibbles, all available online from Red Candy.
At parties or big holiday dinners planning how to cook the meal can feel like planning a military invasion. So I suspect everyone who's hosted a dinner party has at some point wished for a bigger oven. However the new Menu Stacking Oven Dishes open up worlds of possibilities. By stacking on top of each other, the porcelain Menu Dishes make full use of your oven. The side openings allow air to circulate through the oven; while the silicone feet let you take these dishes straight to the table for serving - no need for a trivet. They are also great for buffet tables, where you can fill one dish with tea lights and then stack you food dishes on top to stay warm. A beautifully simple design that offers great flexibility the Menu Stacking Oven Dishes are available online from Scandiliving.
One thing I really love about the Jme Collection is that it simply bursts with products I want to pick up and use. Brilliant use of natural materials creates engaging tools you want to explore. The Luna Sauce Boat for example pairs pristine white porcelain with warm rich wood. Perfect for gravy or custard, the side handle gives you a clear view what you're pouring. If you only want a touch of sauce there is a lovely wooden ladle with a deep sculptural bowl. Designed by Russell Pinch, the Luna Sauce Boat is an exercise in pleasing proportions. A beautiful piece of minimalist servingware, the Luna Sauce Boat comes with matching spoon and trivet for £26.50 from the Jme online Store.
When warm weather finally arrives, you have to grab every minute of it. Alfresco dining is a brilliant way to relax and share the sunshine with friends and family. The Sparrow Salad Set is just perfect for meals on the patio. The gorgeous sweeping bowl offers a simple yet dynamic form that provides an elegant perch for the endearing sparrows. Resting neatly on the edge, it's their long flowing tails that form the blades of the salad tongs. A whimsical and charming addition to outdoor dining, the Bird Salad Bowl and Servers Set is £29.95 from Rockett St George.

There's nothing quite as frustrating as watching that beautiful cake you've slaved over - crumble into a mess on the plate. Designer Maria Kivijärvi has created an elegantly clever solution. The Magisso Cake Server both cuts and serves your cake in one easy action. Created by two sweeping surfaces, the undulating server cuts both sides of a slice in one motion. Then you just need to squeeze the handle firmly as you lift the cake onto the plate. Quick and tidy presentation each time, the plastic Magisso Cake Server is £14 while the gleaming Stainless Steel Cake Server is £32 from DotMaison.com.
When you've spent ages in the kitchen perfecting your culinary skills, you don't want flashy tableware stealing your glory. The gorgeous pieces by Just Slate strike the perfect balance that show your creations at their best. The Just Slate 3-Tier Cake Stand for example is an elegant minimalist design that sets beautiful Scottish slate as the backdrop for your delicious cakes. Three flat circular stones stand suspended on a plain steel rod, providing a stark contrast to your soft organic cakes. Richly textured slate is a brilliant complement for both modern and rustic kitchens, and the Just Slate 3-Tier Cake Stand is £50 from John Lewis or Lakeland.
While it's not especially posh or expensive, I love my grandparent's vintage china, but it can be difficult to find affordable servingware to match. These Italian Style Cutlery Salad Servers bridge the gap between vintage decoration and modern style. Made from clear plastic resin, they have a sharp and simple form with classic inspired patterns ghosting up the handle. A brilliant accent that brings a contemporary style to your vintage tableware, these Italian Style Cutlery Salad Servers are a bargain at £14.99 from Rockett St George.
Wedding season for us arrived early this year, so we've spent several hours searching for just the right present. Problem is now we found these lovely Cheese Knives; we'd rather like a set of them ourselves. The Polished Knot Cheese Knives have a practical elegance which perfectly complements our Natural Slate Cheese Board. The three knife set includes an aerated Cheese Knife for soft cheese, a wide-edged Hard Cheese Knife for things like cheddar, and a two-pronged Traditional Cheese Knife. A great gift for weddings and anniversaries, the Polished Knot Cheese Knife Set is £29.95 from The Handpicked Collection.
When it comes to colourful high quality cookware, Le Creuset is the obvious choice. Hand crafted from premium quality cast iron, Le Creuset offers long lasting durability. A vocal proponent for British industry it's no surprise that Emma Bridgewater had embraced the future nuptials of William and Kate with their Royal Wedding Collection. The mug and plate are decorated with a beautifully detailed lithograph featuring an image of West Minster Abbey, the wedding date and the happy couple's names. With a lovely pink gradation the collection has a sophistication and charm. My favourite though is the William & Kate Scalloped Bowl. Its unusual shape makes it immediately stand out from the rest, while the lion crest marks it as a truly royal event. With each piece handmade in Stoke, the Emma Bridgewater Royal Wedding Collection is a brilliant choice for your collectable keepsakes.
There's something quite intimate about sharing food with someone, so it seems like the perfect choice for Valentine's Day. My current favourite is the Dotty Fondue Set from Cath Kidston. Suitable for cheese, meat or chocolate, it's a brilliant centre piece for your table. Bright and cheerful, the white enamel bowl is decorated with fun multicoloured spots, while the chunky metal handles offer a sure grip when taking to the table. In addition to the fondue pot, the set includes six colour coded forks, one burner, the fondue stand, and a splatter pad. Retro fun for everyone, the Dotty Fondue Set is £40 online from Cath Kidston.
If your Valentine is a kitchen goddess, you have a wide range of lovely kitchen products to choose from. There is something quite endearing about the Sagaform Heart Bowl and Ladle. The white stoneware bowl has a vibrant red interior, which provided a dramatic background for the pretty ladle. The ladle is made from eco-friendly bamboo and features a heart-shaped bowl and a small heart shaped hole through the handle. A Scandinavian design perfect for salads, the Sagaform Heart and Bowl with Ladle is £35 from John Lewis.
If I could have anything for Valentine's Day I think it would be the Alessi Big Love Spoon. Designed by Miriam Mirri, the silver handle sweeps seamlessly in the heart shaped bowl. It's beautifully designed and a pleasure to use. The matching Big Love Ice Cream Bowl features a stainless steel bowl that sits in a clear plastic stand. A cute addition to afternoon tea, the Laura Ashley Milk & Sugar Set has a lovely round shape. Finished in a rich ruby red with bright white spots, it's cheerful and charming. A clever design that brings a smile to your face, the red & polka dot Milk & Sugar Set is £15 from Laura Ashley.
Oil and vinegar sets are very pretty, but their also so big! It's great if you use them in the kitchen, but they're awful big when you just want to add a drop to your meal. The new Menu Tripod Set is perfect for on the table. The white base holds three round pods topped with shining metal caps, which you can fill with your favourite flavours. Pefect for when you have mates over, the Vacu Vin Serve & Stack Party Server is £13.03 from Amazon UK.
When Dan & I want to spend a quite night in a baked Camembert is a brilliant choice. There's something really delightful about breaking bread with your partner. Personally we prefer to bake our cheese in a ceramic bowl rather than the wood or card boxes they come in, but I often wish it had a lid to keep the heat in before serving. Someone has made me the perfect solution with these simple Camembert Bakers. Also great for hot dips, the bakers can hold cheeses up to 12cm across. Decorated with a replica of a vintage Camembert label, the Baker appears both practical and exclusive. A brilliant give for foodies and cheese aficionados, the Camembert Baker comes with a small recipe book for £15.50 from Heal's.

I love eating pistachios, but it's often awkward to finding somewhere to put all the shells. Ever tried balancing two bowls on your knee? It's a great way to spill everything on the floor. So when I saw the new Double Dish from Joseph Joseph I was thrilled. The lovely folk at Lifestylish.com, who've opened a new kitchen store filled with items we've featured, were kind enough to send us one to try out. It's is simply genius. Made from a thick durable plastic, the two separate bowls stack neatly together. So often we are sold the 1950s housewife dream, the pearl necklaces and quaint flowers all in the perfect house. So these Lipped Floral Bowls from Pedlars immediately caught my attention. Ever wanted to capture that freedom and carefree life you experienced as a child, before you felt the responsibilities of work and family? It doesn't always take much to send you flying back to those long summer days. For me the iconic shape of the Chatterbox dish has me grinning with fond memories. I love the modern sweeping lines of Jamie Oliver's new Nibble Bowl set. The humble terracotta bowls are given a sharp sophisticated edge with their asymmetrical forms. Their glossy centres contrast the rough earthen exterior for a rich minimalist style. Designed by Russell Pinch, the three bowls can be used for nuts, crisps and even dips and sauces. The description mentions that the bowls fit neatly on an oak serving board, but I'm afraid I haven't yet seen evidence of the board. Ovenproof up to 100 °C they are perfect for serving warm snacks and hot dips. A great way to combine rustic kitchen memories with today's latest styles, the Set of 3 Nibble Bowls is £18 from the Jme online store.

I'm afraid the picture here really doesn't do the John Lewis Vintage Chick Bowl justice. I picked it up in store and it immediately reminded me of the bowl Dan's cousin brought us back from Portugal. Finished in a milky white distressed glaze, the outside of the bowl has a soft faceted texture that gives it a warm rustic style. Complementing this is a pattern of colourful birds, that add vibrant character to this earthenware bowl. Great for serving salad in, the Vintage Chick Mixing Bowl is just £12 from John Lewis.

Made from FSC approved European beech, they each feature a witty phrase down the handle. Dan's loves bamboo. Besides being a fast growing renewable material, it's durable and attractive. Assembled from smaller bamboo pieces, gorgeous textures and patterns can be created from the grains. If cast iron is just too heavy, the Emile Henry Flame ceramic can open up new possibilities. Their new lightweight griddle is a fantastic example; though it looks like metal the Emile Henry Grill is much, much lighter. The Flame ceramic is fired at high temperature making it safe to use directly on the hob without a diffuser. And unlike cast iron this durable material doesn't need to cool before you clean it. Straight from the hot hob you can run it under cold water. The Flame Grill is even designed to collect excess oil and fat in the corner, helping your favourite foods be that bit more healthy. Finished in a gorgeous glaze, the Emile Henry Flame Grill can be taken straight from hob to table letting you serve your meals just the way you made them. A great addition to your cooking arsenal the Emile Henry Flame Grill is £39.99 from Lakeland.

Now I've loved the Natural Slate Cheese Board since we covered it last Christmas, so finally to have one in my hands is a pleasure. Hand crafted with a slate knife, this creates a lovely scalloped edge around the board. The Scottish Slate has a wonderful rough texture that is finished in an acrylic resin which seals and hardens the surface. This shiny finish accents the delicious textures of your cheeses making them irresistible. The stone's natural properties help keep your cheese cool, while allowing their flavours to flourish. I especially love 'The Handpicked Collection's idea to use chalk to name each of the cheeses on offer. A fabulous serving board I can't wait to use, the Natural Slate Cheese Board is £14.95.
We also ordered one of the Kuhn Rikon coloured knives. These bright and cheerful knives use a revolutionary process to bond the colour to the metal blade without losing its edge. This sturdy knife sheath means you can safely take a knife along with you. While I’ve seen combined oil and vinegar bottles before, they are usually complex glass creations that blend two bottles into one. In the Salad Sunrise Oil & Vinegar Set its science that keeps everything separated. It’s simply a fact of physics that oil will float on vinegar. In harnessing this property, designer Arnout Visser has created the Salad Sunrise, a single cylindrical vessel with two spouts. Looking like an exotic laboratory beaker, the Salad Sunrise reveals a magic found in these everyday ingredients. A clever design for modern kitchens, the Salad Sunrise Oil + Vinegar Set is £29.95 from The Design Museum Online Shop.

The beautiful white porcelain has a sensual rippled texture that highlights the delicious colours of your fruit. Hidden at the base of the bowl the Conran Fruit Bowl features a scattering of holes. This drainer lets you rinse your fruit in the bowl before taking straight to the table. I suspect this would be brilliant for serving salad too! A sophisticated Fruit Bowl with a modern rustic style, the Sophie Conran Combined Fruit Bowl & Drainer is £26.95 from Beth Stevens.
In Japan, the spring ritual of hanami cherry-blossom viewing under a clear blue sky is an absolute must. People eager to shake off the winter blues cram the parks, sitting on blankets under the trees, drinking cold beer and eating picnic delights from bento boxes.
Here in England, my garden is liberally sprinkled with confetti-like petals of white blossom that drift languidly down from the big Damson plum tree. Blossom brings with it the warmer spring weather that we've all been longing for. However, the weather in the UK is rather less predictable (it torrentially poured in London at last year's Japan Society Hanami party!).
So, Kitchen Critic's Kate and Isshoni London's Vanessa have teamed up to bring you the best of this season's cheerful, pretty home essentials to ensure we can all take pleasure in springtime sakura blooms, whatever the weather!
Sakura Jubako Bento Box & Sakura Water Bottle
To take along your picnic to the park and get into a cheery cherry-blossom viewing mood, you'll certainly need a bento box and flask. The Sakura Jubako bento box is a delightful, flower shaped bento box available from Japan specialists J-Box. This convenient 'jubako' style means that you can stack the layers - there are two large compartments for keeping your rice and other accompaniments separate. The Sakura Jubako bento boxes close securely with sealing Tupperware-style plastic lids. To complement the bento box is the smart 250 ml Sakura water bottle in striking black with a pink cherry blossom flowers motif. This flask has a neat push button operation to dispense water into the stainless steel cap/cup.
These gorgeous party tumblers from Graham and Green will look stylish rain or shine. Use them to serve chilled saké, wine or beer - these versatile glasses with their sturdy base and compact size are so much less likely to be knocked over than stemmed wine glasses. There are six different colours of glasses in a set, each with a lovely frosted cherry blossom pattern rendered in white. The pattern is so subtle and festive you'll want to use the tumblers all year round - they'll look just at as home for a summer BBQ as they will at a blossom viewing party. Available from Graham and Green, the pretty, practical glasses are dishwasher friendly.
In Japan, people often enjoy the hanami party so much that they don't want to go home! With that in mind, the parks often string up paper lanterns that picturesquely illuminate the cherry blossoms even in the dark. Evenings are still dark early in the UK cherry blossom season... so why not light up your home or garden with Graham and Green's elegant Cherry Blossom Branch Lights? Standing the lights up in vases around your home is an attractive decorative accent... or why not try using the branches as unusual table centrepieces? You can choose from light pink, chocolate, pink and white lights, or combine them (they're surprisingly affordable!).
To bring the romantic magic of Hanami indoors, try blossom inspired tableware. The Hanami Tableware by Sia features a beautiful photo of dainty pink flowers, which captures the vibrancy and romance of the season. Made from fine bone china, the Hanami tableware mirrors the light delicacy of sakura blossoms. To complement these gorgeous dishes, try the Blossom Cutlery from John Lewis. The subtle frosted pattern acts as an understated accent, while continuing the floral theme. The sleek modern forms of the Blossom Cutlery combine with the contemporary photographic style of the Hanami Tableware to create a sophisticated celebration of spring.
Besides its natural beauty, the cherry blossom has an almost iconic form. Long spindly branches that end in a burst of petals have an elegance often seen in contemporary designs. The Cherry Blossom Trivet creates a dramatic silhouette that drapes across your table. Arrange a few down the centre of your table, and you'll create a distinctive graphic display that's functional as well! Made from a durable cast iron, these stylish Cherry Blossom Trivets offer both protection and a simplified modern style. Available from Inspirational Elements, the Cherry Blossom Trivets bring the eastern glamour of this important Japanese celebration.
There are so many ways to celebrate the season while exploring the beauty of Japanese culture which makes hanami an irresistible event. Combining historic traditions with modern glamour creates gorgeous dinning pieces you'll long for. If you'd like to learn about more Japanese events taking place around London, be sure to visit Vanessa at www.isshonilondon.co.uk!

If you listen to the news these days, there doesn’t seem to be much to celebrate. But Finn Stone disagrees, instead he’s created an ironic aluminium Bowler Hat that seems to mock our current situation. Once the daily attire for businessmen and bankers, the bowler hat now symbolises historic British reserve. Certainly not a cheap investment, the Bowler Hat Ice Bucket has a solid construction and features the Finn Stone Hallmark along the rim. Use as an eccentric fruit bowl or to serve up that special bubbly and shrug of the worries of the world. A fabulous modern and unique design that will be fashionable for years the Finn Stone Bowler Hat is £129 from Rockett St George.
In this era of healthy living a warm plate of chips has become something of a luxury. So I’m not surprised to find these national favourites are now being given a bit of glamour. Maxwell & Williams have taken inspiration from the traditional chippy paper cone and created a sculptural French Fry Cup. The tall sweeping cup is available in a pure white or a newsprint pattern and comes with a matching dip cup. An eye-catching side dish for your next fish or burger, the Newsprint pattern is available from PotsandPans.co.uk while the White is available from Havens.

A dramatic designer centrepiece for your next kaffeeklatsch, the Shatter Teapot is and available from Umbra.com.

They say our greatest fear is of the unknown, and it appears this applies to cheese boards as well. If it's not immediately apparent what the cheese is, it's often left untouched. The Natural Slate Cheese Board offers the perfect solution. The stone board helps keep cheeses cool, while allowing you to write the names on with chalk. A brilliant rustic serving style that also works well for canapés and quiche, the Natural Slate Cheese Board is £14.95 available from The Handpicked Collection.
I’ll admit I’m not a morning person, but if you have to be up early you may as well share your breakfast with friends. Rosenthal has created a quirky and endearing collection of characters to serve your daily toast and egg. The white porcelain pieces are decorated with vibrant cheerful colours. All residents of the imaginary Vinilaville, Sir Randolf conceals your boiled egg under his hat while Pablo eagerly waits for you to spread jam on your toast. A whimsical collection of serving pieces that creates a relaxed moment before your busy work day, the Rosenthal Pepe and Friends Breakfast Range is available from Heals.
I have to admit I wasn't impressed with the Jamie Oliver collection when it was first released, but it's certainly grown on me since. The white tableware has a clean simple style that mixes easily with other china patterns. The only decoration is a white lattice pattern that sweeps across each piece for a subtle contemporary design. I'd love one of Jamie Oliver's Party Kits for serving my family and friends this Christmas. The Mini Party set includes three triangular bowls that stack within a square plate for easy storage. The Big Party Kit (pictured above) then adds an additional square bowl and long rectangular plate. Great for serving a range of nibbles from peanuts to sandwiches, these Party Kits ensure you are always ready to serve up food in style.

I'll admit I've not much experience cooking with cast iron, but you don't have to hang around cooking sites long before you start hearing rave reviews. Le Creuset is one of the best known makers of cast iron cookware, and blends classic shapes with trendy new colours. Perfect for use on both the hob and in the oven, these beautiful casseroles then go straight to the table. Ideal for casseroles, stews, pot roasting and even for baking, they are also perfect for preparing soups and rice dishes. Due to the high price, cast iron cookware is a long term investment, so you want to chose the colour carefully. I find the graduated colours much more dynamic than their plan solid styles, and the teal specifically is so bright and full of life. Definitely an item to watch for in the sales, the Teal Le Creuset 20cm Round Casserole is currently £62.40 at John Lewis and £70.20 from Amazon.co.uk.
